Apparently it’s October. Not sure who authorized that, but here we are!
It's officially crunch time for us. We have exactly one month before Steve trades Steve Myers Magic for Santa Claus (only ‘til Dec 24!). This year, Santa season starts in the beginning of November, and when it does, Steve is pretty much 100% Santa. Portraying Santa Claus takes a lot of work, energy and passion. None of our clientele is in our town, which complicates things a little but we manage! I continue running Steve Myers Magic, pack orders, keep customers happy, and maintain all the things, although occasionally I do bother Steve with questions that usually start with, “Hey, where did you put…” or “How do I …” At the moment, there are two completely new projects we’re hoping to have ready for Black Friday. I’m not promising anything because apparently handmade things do not care one iota about deadlines, but we're trying to get them done! We also just added a new, slightly shorter 3¼" Twix from Purse for smaller hands, beginners, or anyone who just wants something slightly shorter than our regular 4” twix. Finally, after much contemplation we decided to say goodbye to our collapsible rubber production items. We will make a final run in spring 2027 of a select few items, and after that, what stock we have is all there will be. This one is bittersweet because we know there are performers who genuinely love rubber goods, and we're right there with you. There's something wonderfully old school about them. Unfortunately, they're one of the most time consuming items we make. The molds are big, bulky, heavy, cumbersome, fickle and temperamental. They require care to maintain and take up lots of room. Rubber production goods also tie up production for months. You did read that correctly. MONTHS. So, that's a lot of time and space devoted to something that a very small group of performers are still using. To those of you keeping rubber production magic alive, we see you. We love that you still love rubber goods. And we're glad we got to make them while we did. But it's time to bid adieu. So that’s October. Working on two new projects. Black Friday coming. Santa almost here. And 31 days to pull it all together. Now, lets go on vacation….
